Paul Kaiser

Paul Kaiser was born in 1973 in Vienna. He studied music under Professor Manfred Kautzky and Professor Klaus Lienbacher at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 1999, even before finishing his studies, he was appointed solo oboe of the Vienna Symphony Orchester.
As a soloist Paul Kaiser is dedicatee of numerous works of contemporary music. He premièred works of  composers like Roland Freisitzer, Erland M. Freudenthaler, Thomas Heinisch, Christoph Herndler und Lukas Haselböck.
Due to his passion for the Viennese Oboe, the specific idea of sound and conviction that technical possibilities are  limitless, Paul gave the debut of Luciano Berio’s „Sequenza VII“ performed on the Viennese Oboe.
Playing chamber music he is member of „triple tongue vienna“, „Ensemble 1080“, „Ensemble Reconsil“ and Wiener Bläsersolisten.
Since 2008 he has been an oboe Professor assisting Professor Klaus Lienbacher at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He is regularly asked to give international master classes.
